tl;dr: You don't just get TSS from tampons and pads. If you have an IUD, you can get it from untreated UTIs or just a weakened immune system where staph may reach you. I can't find a SINGLE case online that sounds remotely similar to mine, so I wanted to share it here. TSS is NOT just a "tampon disease"!
